Not the SIMS I expected.

Although the game interface was nice and easy to use, I found that this version of the SIMS was to restricted. Unlike the original version where you can go just about anywhere, this one you have to follow a set path or at least set goals at any given time. I was looking for a more open ended play experience.
If you were looking for an experience of building a unique char, then you might be a bit disappointed. If you had not ever played SIMS before, you might enjoy this game.
