-Fans of the Punisher will love his various punishing ways. A variety of interrogations, weapon-specific "Quick Kills", environmental "Special Kills" do a vigilante good!
-Weapon variety (e.g. shotguns, 50-cal pistols, double-wielding, etc.)
-Story was written by Garth Ennis, probably one of the best "Punisher" comic writers ever. So yes, it's good.
-Body physics are pretty good (Boom goes the dynamite!).

-Unlockable material is okay.
-Slight RPG type elements could be better than to "Purchase scope to increase accuracy.
-Graphics are okay.
-No Police response to activities (ala GTA). This would have added a whole new element and yet another layer of guilt (see below).

-Don't play this like "Hitman". The Punisher is not supposed to be silent.
-Personal concern of enjoying torturing the human-shaped polygons and enjoying it.
-Playing like a wuss and knocking people out instead of "punishing" because it would make God mad.
-Being rewarded for knocking people out INSTEAD of killing them.. Come on! He's the PUNISHER!

I say the game is great. it really follows the story of frank castle. The graphics could be better. When joging in the game it is kinda akward it doesnt feel right. over all it is a great game i say buy it

The punisher is probaly the best game for the xbox.This game is the bomb all the different ways you can punish people and use them as human sheilds. Anyone who loves action games this is the game 2 buy.

This game is Awesome, well, if your in to what it has to offer. This game is just blow one guys head off to throw a guy into a wood-chipper. Frank has some bad catch phrases that get old after a while, but who is a super hero without a catch phrase. Cool finishing moves, my personal favorite, it might sound sadistic but...shoving a grenade into someones mouth and watching him scramble around to his death...after a hard day at school/work its pretty satisfying. If your into over the top gore/violence, and nitty gritty dialogue, then GET THIS GAME!!!!!!!...if your questionable on any of these, then, save everyone the whining about how terrible this game is and just dont get it.

The Punisher is a game very much in the spirit of the movie and comic book of the same name. Basically, you are Frank Castle aka The Punisher, and you are trying to bring down a big old crime syndicate along the streets of New York. Now, while the Punisher never seemed quite mainstream in the Marvel Universe, he finds plenty of ways to meet up with other Marvel characters, both friend and foe. Making special appearances are Iron Man, Daredevil, Black Widow, Nick Fury, Bullseye, Kingpin and more. The story is pretty much about Frank taking out the trash but you get some nice locals like Stark Tower, Ryker's Island, a funeral home and more. Now while the majority of the gameplay is basically throwing streams of bullets into your unfortunate foes, there are some even more violent moments where you can activate Manslaughter mode and start taking out scores of enemies with knives. Better yet, there are interrogations. You can interrogate anyone, but some have specific information and can be taken to special interrogation spots where you give them a gruesome glimpse at their eminent demise. The nice Punisher will let them go after they break. If you're like me, you'll send them to their grizzly death. You'll probably find some favorites, like the machinery at the meat processing plant or the power tools in the chop shop. I personally liked feeding the shark at the pier. There are also gold skull markers that let you know a special kill can take place, like throwing a random thug to a boa constrictor or impaling him on an elephant tusk. Basically, the game is a blood orgy. You get style points for your kills, which makes it sort of a super violent Tony Hawk game. While it will relieve some stress, it loses it's effect after awhile and becomes a one trick pony. It's only fun for the ten hours or so it lasts. There are other game modes and challenges to keep you busy, but you'll likely lose interest before you get to that.

The Punisher is yet another average game among many average games. However there are cool things about this game. In order to get important info you need to "interrogate" your enemies, and there are a lot of ways to do that. There are a lot of weapons and upgrades too. It's too bad the graphics were average and the story was average. There's really not a lot one can say about this game. It's not great but it's not bad. Its average and I give it an average score of 7, out of 10.

WOW!! This game sucks so bad! You can't even use the cheats to pass levels?! STUPID! Every mission is the same! KILL, KILL, KILL! How refreshing, right? Bad rent, don't bother...

The Punisher based on the movie and comic book. Was surprisingly a fun game, not exactly for the queasy or someone who doesn't like swearing. If you like punishing people for being jerks this is a great game... I distinctly remember chucking some cocky mobster onto an elephant tusk, you do the math.

This game is seriously 1 of the best orginal xbox games that I have ever played, and continue to play. I bought this game right after I played it once at a friends house. I sold it when I got a 360, but couldnt go without it. lol. So, I brought it right back. This game is unbelievabley free. If you can think it, you can probably do it. Wanna throw someone over a ledge? You can do that in this game. Ever wanna blow a guy in half with a shotgun (even though you shouldnt have a motive for that) you can. lol. It seriously is a great game. It's kinda brutal, but it is so much fun and addictive like crazy. So, go buy it...From somewhere like Gamefly. lol.

This game is compelling and enjoyable, and plays heavily off of the comic book influence. It is unmistakably gritty and dark, earning its M-rating and some. Blood flows like water with the special executions, so it is not for the squeamish.

It really stands out in the pure enjoyment of it. Towards the end, it gets a wee bit repetitive, but overall it is most definitely worth the rent. It can make a fan of you if you enjoy heavy the darker side of games.
