Built up nicely then self-destructed

About 2/3 of the movie was decent. The scenes with Cena as a security guard were pretty funny. There was a nice little mystery going about how Cena and Robert Patrick (who did a decent job too, though the "Terminator" line was really out of place) were going to cross paths.
Warning - Spoilers Below
It all went downhill when they kidnapped Cena's wife because Patrick and the gang decided they needed a hostage. A hostage? These are the same people who had no problem shooting bystanders, cops, even people they'd been working with (the guy in the jewelry store). All of a sudden they need a hostage? As if they needed a reason to get even more people after them.
The whole my-cop-car-is-a-Camero scene was way over the top and went on too long. I am used to the idea that only the good guys shoot straight and the bad guys only manage to hit dirt, railings, or windows when they shoot, but by the end of the chase the cop car had no roof and looked like swiss cheese. Neither the car nor the driver should have been still breathing.
Then the two rednecks get the jump on Cena, who they think is a cop. But rather than blow him away and throw his body in the swamp, they bring him back to their shack so they can slap him around a bit.
There are many more examples, so don't go into this movie expecting it to make sense.
On the other hand, if someone ever decides to make a Duke Nukem movie, Cena gets my vote!
