A Work of Art

The new Zelda installment is the best one in the series yet.

Calling the graphics "GameCube-era" doesn't do justice to the artistic design that makes you forget that this was originally developed for the 'cube. The modeling and textures are superb, but games aren't just pretty graphics (after all, the 'cube was more powerful than the PS2).

This is really fun to play to. The Wiimote control scheme is easy to get the hang of. Fishing is a little tricky, but once you get the hang of it, its easy.

And the story is quite engaging. Sure, its a typical "Save the princess, bring peace to the world," but if its not broken, why fix it? The themes themselves are universally appealing, and you get drawn in very well.

The new Zelda is a Joy, and a great start to any Wii game library.

Best zelda game ever period. I have been a fan of the zelda series ever since majora's mask. I will say this game ischallenging but definitely the best zelda game ever. When I think launch title i think something that is gonna make me hold out for the oh so sweet second wave of games. The second wave is almost always better because it has more time to be polished and developed. I have been playing zelda for over a month and I am not even sure if i have scratched the surface of this deep deep deep intuitive game that controls my free time. I think that if you want a game that makes you travel into a different world this one is for you.

First of allthe reason i say it is an entirely different world is the fact that the world of the game is huge. Also the fact you can fish which even though the swordplay and arrow shooting is great with the wii-mote. The fishing makes the motion sensitivity something to behold. The similarity of fishing for real and fishing wii-style is as thin as a sheet of glass. but if you want a launch title that keeps you in for at least a few months depending how frequent of a gamer you are get zelda because at first playing it you might be skeptical, but after you get the sword and most of your other tools you are emersed and not coming out of hyrule. Irepeat best zelda game ever period.

Dude, It's Zelda!

It's hard to write a review saying something that hasn't already been said.

I just say, "Dude, it's Zelda."

The Zelda games are perfection. They're more than games to everyone. Is this game better than the infamous Ocarina of Time? Once you pick it up, it's hard to say no. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is perfect in every way. The story is amazing, as expected. The gameplay is even more intuitive with the Wii remote. The puzzles are harder than ever, and it reminds you what Zelda's all about. Hyrule is also huge, and hella fun to explore. Having beaten the game a couple weeks ago, I still find myself wandering the fields and discovering new things all the time. The music is as great as it ever was. This is a must own for anyone who cares about games.
