A Link to the Past is one of my favorite games of all time, as well as my introduction to the Zelda series, so A Link Between Worlds was a game I had dreamed of for a very long time. Though it has some very large shoes to fill, it gracefully and seemingly effortlessly creates an incredible new adventure that tugs at my nostalgic heartstrings while distinguishing itself as an inventive game in the series. While sharing quite a lot with A Link to the Past, it really becomes its own game with clever use of 3D in puzzles and an incredible new item system. Link Between Worlds stunned me by becoming one of my favorite Zelda's, and one of my favorite 3DS games to date. Good job, Nintendo. You've created another masterpiece.

It took me only one day to get through the story. Though there was more that could be done throughout the game I felt there was no point, collecting more of the ore or finding other items would not help much when I already have gotten through all the dungeons and explored a lot of the land. There was no real set order in which to do things so I wound up getting the gauntlet to lift the big rocks last and I really did not feel like walking all over looking for hidden treasure beneath all the rocks in both worlds. But the general game, though only a day's worth of play was very fun and the story line, as with every zelda game, was great.
