I do only have one complaint. The Emma character was 14 years old, the apocalypse happened over 20 years ago. She wouldn't know modern slang.
Other than that. I was on the edge of my chair; heart pounding scenes. I had all of the weapons by the end of the game; and I used almost every bullet, Molotov cocktail, sugar bag or can of Scissors or the hatchet, pipe or wood stick to survive. I love the winter scenes.
it was the best 20 hours I had spent playing. The modeled charchacters were amazing. I don't care if it's 2013 - most designers do not take the time to put out this quality of game. I was so enthralled that I couldn't stop playing - but also didn't want the story to end. I was so hoping for a chapter 2 that I could have downloaded right then.
I hope another type of game like this comes out soon. Once you've played this game and XCOM you'll be wishing for more of the same.
I have to say one thing. You have to care about your players in order to have an exhilarated gaming experience.

Naughty Dog has put the gaming and story world on notice by creating this Brilliant, dark and intense adventure. Very few games despite the climate has been able to display an authentic gripping and dark sentiment like this game does. At the same time Naughty Dog captured some of the virtues of the Human spirit that possesses us to carry on despite problematic scenarios in front of us.
The gameplay is engaging as well. The campaign was intense throughout. They crafted a strategic game where resources matters. You can't just OP your way through this game. You have to be intelligent and deliberate to go through this campaign. Every encounter created a sense of fear and intensity. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the campaign. I also love the art design and the level design. They took a linear game and gave it a open world look. Naughty dog is on top of it's game, literally.
It's not often some thing lives up to the hype but this game surpasses the hype. I'm a hard judge but I have to call this game a masterpiece. It's unique and proves you can make a game that is more than just a game. This is more of a experience than a game. Go out and buy this game,
