BEST PS3 GAME

The Last of Us uses a third-person perspective and players take control of Joel, while Ellie is controlled by the AI for the majority of the game, although the player switches control in the later sections of the game. The game involves gun fighting, melee combat, and a cover system with no preset cover locations, only crouching near objects and navigating normally. The player fights off the Infected—former humans infected by a mutated strain of the cordyceps fungus—and the Survivors—humans that are not infected, but are hostile towards Joel and Ellie. A new gameplay mechanic is a feature the developers call "dynamic stealth", meaning that there are many different types of strategies and techniques that the player can use at any given time as they approach a new situation, to which enemies will react differently.
Naughty Dog has developed an AI system called Balance of Power

100 out of 10

A 10 doesn't do this game justice. I am one of those gamers that beat a game quick and grow bored of it. TLOU, I am through my 3rd time, and plan on another go around. Truly a work of art. ND now has a die-hard fan for life.

Arguably One of the Best Games I've Played

The Last of Us raised the bar for gaming industry. This is one of the first games I've seen that really took advantage of using games as the ultimate form of story telling. You can tell a lot of time, effort and passion was put into this.

Before I go any further, this game isn't going to appeal to everyone. The pacing is more in line more with a book than it is with your typical action/adventure game. There a slow parts in between intense fighting scenes that allow you to take in the scenery and develop the characters. Critics will mention the game's fascination with the puzzles that involve either a ladder or a wooden pallet. I think they are wonderful opportunities to take in the environment and set the tone for what's coming ahead.

I suggest playing the game on hard to fully experience the game and the aspect of "survival" that the game is trying to convey. The story is fantastic and the game-play is smooth. I honestly consider this game a work of art.
