The graphics are phenomenal.
The story is great, fast-paced and very realistic in the situation/scenario. I enjoy the post-apocalyptic environment, and the element of survival and horror, but none of the single elements are over powering the other.
The sound quality is realistic.
The replay value is high.
The characters are phenomenal. So realistic, and very invested into their own personalities. Seems like the story writers got this aspect correct for once.
My only real negative criticism with this game, like most games is how linear it is. Especially in games like this where the developers are putting so much into the story. It would be nice for the creators and story writers to add some variety. Like a 'chose your own adventure' style. Meaning, that if you do, or do not do something it will greatly reflect the story. Some games and developers have accomplished this, and I wish Naughty Dog would develop their games more thoroughly.
After the game was over I was just feeling euphoric, and wanted to just keep playing it and knowing the characters for the rest of my life. That is how involved the story gets and puts you into the game, the lives and outcome of the story/characters.
So I'm sitting for hours, playing one of the most intense games of my life, finally get to the end (freaking awesome sequence of events, even at the end, that you don't necessarily see coming), and just as I complete the game for the final end cut-scene and credits, the screen goes black... what the funk Gamefly? I took the disc out, cleaned it, popped it back in, reset my PS3 (newest slim version) and SAME THING!! Really, really annoyed at GameFly right now. This is the 2nd time something like this has happened to me with a game from GameFly. Had to go on the internet to look up the ending... totally sucks. Get your stuff together GameFly, before your clients start dropping like... well, flies!
