First off I am not a fan of these arcade street racing games... I love realism in my video games but this title, in comparison to the related titles such as the need for speed underground franchise, this one actually kept me playing it without being bored even after I beat it... The graphics are mediocre and not too exciting.. The choices of vehicles in this game are immense and most of the cars are perfect for this type of game... The tuning capability isnt too shabby either... You could pretty much do anything with the vinyls to personalize your ride... The body-kit choices are good over-all except some of the cars that deserve a wide variety of body-kits dont have much to choose from... The gameplay is really awesome.. It is based on the highways and mountain roads of Japan although the highway and various mountain roads in this are entirely fictional they are still fun to drive on... I really enjoy the handling of the cars... You can choose a car built for grip driving or drifting.. It is all up to u.. The drift engine in this isnt the most realistic out there (if you want real drift physics then get yourself a copy of any of the Kaido Battle series games from GenkiRacingProject) but it is very fun and you can get massive drift angles and if your good enough you can have a spectacular replay... The flaw is that this game is entirely too short and easy for the most part... It took me a total of less then 24 full hours to beat.. It was way too easy from the beginning all the way until the last 2 teams on the final mountain track called "suicide mountain" where I was unable to out drift the team bosses.. I got extremely aggrevated and did a trick on racking up points (do donuts) and that is how I beat the last team... I am still very much enjoying this game simply because of the wide array of visual upgrades that you can do to most of the vehicles... Over-all if you enjoyed the NFSU titles then you will more then likely enjoy this game..I rate this game as an 8/10!

Not a bad game and not a good game either. Just the same old regurgitated on a DVD. The whole map system is really complicated, are the streets of Tokyo really that messed up? It does have a great feel to it though that makes it slightly addictive, I like a game that sets a certain mood and keeps it fed throughout, something that the need for speed games were lacking. I give it a solid 6 because it had a good feel, many cars to choose from, and kept with the Movie pretty well, the game play wasn't bad either. Lost points with me though for lacking originality and making everything hard to find.

This games is OK. For starters, the controls are a lil messed up, but you learn to get used to them. At the beginning, there are slow cars that i smoked with my Fairlady Z with 570 HP. The fraphics are OK, but not as good as Midnight Club 3. The sound effects... well... lets just say there not very good.
The game also has a couple movie cars that you can drive. It also doesn't penilize you if you hit a wall while drifting (unlike NFSU series). Rollup races are a great way to make money because they give you 2500 $. Overall, i rate this game a 8.
