Horrible

Not my type of game.

Ok This just wasn't my type of game. but the controls was just to crude for me. One button to do the same attack. I just couldnt get into it. It reminded me of playing my NES. Just with better graphics. I couldn't figure out where to find the things required to fufil my current task. you basically just wander around aimlessly until you find what your looking using the clues you get from people you talk to. I know many may disagree with me but I will have to say this game is not worth the rental.

I dont see how this game could have made Game of the year, if you ask me it isnt that good of game. Here is why I say this. First off the way you Level up is nothing short of Stupid not much fun if you ask me, second the Fighting system is well Kinda Moronic if you ask me. The Monsters and thing you have to fight in the game well they never seem to miss, your Lucky if You can Hit them once In oh a 100 tries and if you do hit them it takes 20 hits to kill them seems like no mater what kind of weapon you use Your chances of Hitting them and Actually doing more then 1 or 2 points of Damage are very Slim but all it takes is a couple of hits from them No matter how much Health you have and your dead, Maybe im just used to Dungeons and Dragons Type Role playing games but still there is alot of room for Improvement in this game. Another thing i find very bad about the game is the way Your Equipment is always in need of repair you hit with a weapon Once or twice and the next thing you know it is just about useless granted equipment wears out but nothing wears out as fast as the stuff in this game poor prgraming or something. But More Likely Lazy Progrmers Anyway I just dont see how a Game with as Many glitches and Problems as this got named game of the Year, probably because you can Play it for months on end and never really get anywhere because your always having to start a saved game and Unless you save the game every two minutes that means doing the same things over and Over and over again before you can get any further in the game To meit is Not a fun game if you never seem to get anywhere In it.

Above Average

What did people like so much about Morrowind?

I gave this a 6 for a reason, let me explain.

This game is not bad, I love Morrowind's immense world and storyline, and the large ammount of quests.

But what did people obsess over?

I try it again and again, I own the game! But what I don't get is why people love it so much, I'd love a message or something to help me on it. Because these are the flaws I saw.

- Combat, you would hit and hit and nothing would die, and at a low level it is literally impossible to kill a Cliff Racer. What's wrong with combat? Is there somewhere to go where I can make use of training, possibly a dungeon of a sort?

- Hard to understand quests, you would get a quest, and maybe you might just pass it up, then you forget about it in the "journal"

- No navigation, there is no navigation in this game, you have to search yourself.

Now now, I want to like this game, because everyone says it's SO good! But what's so good?
Am I just bad at it?
For now I will rate it "Above Average," because this game seems so great, I just need to understand it better, although there are noticible flaws.

_Oblivion's superiority______________

Oblivion is better then this game, in Oblivion the combat felt real, the graphics were so improved, and the questlines were so fun, not to mention all the npc's HAD VOICES. It feels like a classic to play Oblivion, and morrowind.. But Oblivion still defeats Morrowind.

__Skyrim's "superiority"________

Great combat system, amazing storyline, bad questlines, equal to oblivion in certain ways. I'd say Skyrim beats Morrowind by far.

Another thing I want to discuss is that Morrowind is GREAT for a 2002 game and that it's a massive improvment from Daggerfall (terrible) and arena (horrrible)

Morrowind seems great but I just need to give it time, for now a 6, above average.. I hope to see more in this game.
