Morrowind is a MASSIVE first person adventure RPG. Playing this game is seriously like starting a second life. The character creation and management is wonderful, RPG fans will love it. Your skills increase as you use them, so if you attack with swords all the time, your blade skill increases, etc. There are about 8 races to choose from, and i believe 30 or so skills to level up. The world of Morrowind is deeply immersive, more so than any game Ive ever played, and Ive been a gamer my entire life. Travel to different towns and explore the local rumors, wander through the wilderness and fight monsters, explore caves and ruins in search of amazing treasures, or follow the main story line. You can do whatever you want! And its all a blast. Each town is filled with stores and people. Even in the stores and people's houses ther are books filled with lore and stories from the Morrownind world, the game is its own living, breathing universe. One of the most fun parts of the game is simply adventuring on you own, fighting, looking for fun quests, or finding powerful items. There is so much hidden in the enormous world.

Morrowind is an RPG fans dream. I played this game for two years. I mustve put hundreds and hundreds of hours into it. This is more than a game to me, it was a phase of my life . Honestly, I have wonderful memories of the fun I had with MOrrowind adn will never forget it. If you're looking to lose your self in a fantasy world, I cant recommend this enough.

One of my favorite games of all times. A truly beautiful open-world RPG. You can do everything from being an assassin to a slave smuggler. You can very easily spend 80+ hours doing missions and searching for weapons and armor. I give this game a 10/10

I cannot think of any other game that gives a player-character as much real autonomy as these Elder Scrolls games. You build your character from scratch, and then you go where you like--anywhere you like. You can go along with what seems like the storyline (the computer does have some "destiny" in store for you), or you can do whatever the heck you want--bucking the system all the way if you like. Honest work will earn you honest pay and the esteem of others. Outlaw living will make you rich but is fraught with danger and inconvenience. The game "world" is called Morrowind (or Vvaardenfell) and is, I think, the best developed game setting in the series. Culture has real depth and texture here. And, unlike other RPGs including the latest one in the series, the computer doesn't seem to baby your character when he's low-level and then swamp him with extra foes when he's high-level. You go where you go at your character's own risk--for real.
