Disappointment Of The Highest Caliber....

I like most people read the reviews and saw the gameplay videos of The Conduit and thought "lets give it a try" and I was really hyped about this game seeing that the Wii might have finally put out a good shooter (I normally play my PS3). Unfortunately AGAIN like most people...I got duped..this game is such a waste of time.
Gameplay: The Conduit was your basic run and gun on the rails shooter (go down a hall, turn left, shoot, down another hall, turn right, shoot.) After awhile of playing you get bored very easily after tackling the same enemy over and over because there was only few character designs, the exact same places would pop up more than once and the story overall was incredibly boring.
Controls: People have made such a huge deal about the way you can adjust the controls in midgame...sadly yet again I found out i'd been had. The lock-in targeting system doesn't work at all, when you select this feature it will put a box around the enemy then you have to physically aim the reticle yourself to fire at the enemy (completely useless feature). The camera was completely sloppy and was incredibly annoying to try to control while making you waste shot after shot when trying to zero in on targets. In short, I actually got motion sickness because these controls were so bad.
Graphics: This game had graphics that are the nearly identical to the PS2 and if you were hoping for something better then you'll be sorely disappointed.
Overall: If this is the "best" shooter on the Nintendo Wii than I would hate to see the worst. You're better off skipping this game and donating it to a homeless shelter for them to use as a coaster.
