This game is extemly fun and I love the interface with thw Wiimote. It's kind of like what NBA street or NFL Blitz did for those sports. Everything is exagerated and I like that and it makes each game go by quickly and you're scoring a bunch of runs on hard, but when you get to super hard it's more like regular baseball. Pitching is great as well maybe not realistic as you can sit down and just have to shift the controller a little, but it's still fun to try to get perfect pitches. Fielding is a little tough to get the hang of but you can make some outstanding plays. The rookie mode is awesome as you watch and earn points to make your rookie outstanding and then you can hit regular homeruns without the power-ups. Great game a little easy to beat it, can beat it on a rent then there isn't much else to do. Fun all the same.
Title says it all. I had a ton of fun playing with friends, but the game lacks a season mode. They have a rookie challenge in which you try to get a rookie into the bigs and boost his stats, but this is only satisfying for a short while. The fielding is clunky, but the pitching/batting seems almost natural. Worth the rent, probably not a buy though.
I really don't understand why this game is even available to rent. I'd think it'd be like all sold out, because i love my copy which bought and play the heck out of it. I like how you swing to hit and throw the wiimote down to pitch. also can perform a fence jump on home runs when your fielding, and move the wiimote up and down to sprint while base running and fielding. Now when i played my friends they didn't like it because they kept using the wiimote to throw to bases. and then when the controls get confusing, don't really know which base is up or down cause it does home or second base on either. SO as a solution just use the directional pad on your wiimote to throw to bases. All in all i love this game probably the one wii game i have getting the most playing time. If you like baseball i would buy it.
