The Amazing Spider-Man for PlayStation 3 Reviews by Gamers

This feels like a real game, not just a rushed cash-in on a movie title. This game wasn't as good as Infamous or Batman: Arkham City (for comparisons sake, I gave both of those a 10/10) but I liked this a lot better then another competing open-world action game: Prototype 2. Swinging around the city is tons of fun and the combat, while not as good as Arkham City's, is still very fun to use. The graphics and story are passable. The main complaint I hear about the game are that it's boss fights are boring. The final boss fight isn't that great, but it didn't ruin the game for me. The fight where you have Spider-Man swing around the city fighting those three flying meha-spider things is actually really good. It reminded me of the final battle in The Avengers movie.

I rated this game good because it simply was. That does not mean there were things there were not so good. The swinging was way simplified all you had to do was hold down R2 and you swung automaticly, and that limited what you could do while you swung, like the speed, and air tricks. The camera angle was a little funky not bad but at certain angles it was hard to look around. It was a little Arkham City in the way that your suit rips when you get hit a lot, but I enjoyed the realness that it brought to the game. I wish you could do more with your web, but all in all a pretty good game, deffinantely rent. I personally wouldn't buy it.
