Not a sim, but fun nonetheless

If you are looking for the next Forza, this is not the game. Now that that is out of the way, this is a very fun and addictive game. The focus of the game is free roaming. You could spen HOURS simply driving the island and exploring the roads. The graphics and textures are nice, but not the best. Considering the scope of the island and the speed of the framerates, there is very little pop in. Cars look nice although not as pretty as PGR. There are all the primary manufacturers represented and most offer multiple models.
The actual racing aspect is decent, but not great. The physics are drastically improved from the demo, so please don't let that be a decider. The cars all handle differently so choosing the right car is important. There are also "missions" that you can do if racing in a group is not your thing. Hitch Hikers to transport, packages to deliver and cars to drop off.
The achievement progressions is rather rapid for the first 500 or so points, so if you are a point monger, it is a good one to go with.
All in all, if you like cars and want a fun, not too serious game to play, this is a good one to get.
