Don't get me wrong. Tenjho Tenge looks like it has a lot of untapped potential. IN fact, I would enjoy a series of this movie. The problem is that it's too subdued. See, I'm familiar with this series and I happen to know that this is a "unrated" series, if you know what I mean. However, when it got brought over to the states, it was also tamed. Thus, the movie lost 80% of its true appeal.
I liked the storyline and I liked what it tried to present, but it really needed to offer the true imagery instead of hiding and masking things (steam enough to hide 'those' body parts, but not enough to hide legs? Yeah, okay).
