I've gotten every Tekken since 2 and this is definitely the ultimate iteration. Tekken 6 didn't impress me with the weak single player, clunky gameplay and long loading times. This one includes ALL the characters (including Alex and Tiger), a plethora of venues, an amazing custom soundtrack function and tag mode.
Tekken isn't for everyone. However, this is the epitome of classic Tekken and the best one to own.
Great game love all the characters and the tag system. The game seemed a bit repetitive and the online pass to play online is always never any good. Good rental wouldn't buy it unless it was 10 bucks or so. Easy trophies for you trophy collectors.
5 out of 5.
This game is awesome. Tekken 6 was a bit of a downer in terms of a hilariously bad attempt to justify wacky characters into a serious storyline and some of the gameplay modes were just awful. Tekken is a fighting series. It shouldn't be anything but that. I have been playing the series since '97 and it feels as though the difficulty is just right. I even cram that difficulty up to Very Hard to test myself and GET BETTER so I can beat my friends and test my quickest reaction skills so gameplay is great IMO and I suggest you guys keep training.
Customization is awesome. This is the biggest, craziest set of customization pieces yet and you can make your characters look ridiculous. I gave Steve Fox a topknot and a gun!
If you are expecting more out of a fighting series and want a game about violence to hold your hand, I suggest checking into other titles, but Tekken is the best in my opinion and I cannot stop playing this series because getting better at its system is addicting and worthwhile if you have guts to master. -- Jon
