Not what Tekken used to be

Alright guys, I've been playing Tekken since I was kid. I remember playing these games back at the arcade and just plain having fun. With that said, I was looking forward to Tekken 6.
When I started playing, however, I was completely turned off by several things. First, the load time at the character select screen, between matches, between cut scenes, etc. is just plain ridiculous (Im playing on a PS3 by the way).
Second, I always enjoyed each characters story line in the arcade mode, but this game failed to deliver the back stories effectively. It was dragged out and quick. I might as well have played it in an arcade.
Third, and this is almost a stark comparison to my previous point, the story mode is almost ALL cutscenes. I remember sitting there waiting for the cutscene to load, hitting start to skip it, then waiting for yet another cutscene to load. Ive had to do this at least 5 times in a row before I got to physically control my player. Its pretty frustrating.
I could point out other minor flaws (like the soundtrack for each stage not being creative as they used to be---now it just seems like generic stage music) but those are pretty much minor issues that irritate me.
All in all, it has great control and flashy moves and it is exactly what its supposed to be, a fighting game. But the points I brought up before are enough to say this game is not what Tekken used to be. Im glad I rented this game. If I bought it for full price, I would've been pretty dam annoyed.
