This game gets boring really quickly. Long loading for everything. Movies long & pointless. Feels like playing for nothing. Thought online feature would be fun, also boring, long loads there, can't continue to rematch. So glad I didn't go flying to the stores as I normally do to purchase this game.

Well the game was so so. I wasn't happy with how fast the reaction time was after you would hit a button. It wasn't anything like the past Tekken games. I wouldn't rent it again...

I went into this game hoping it would bring back that tekken feeling of tekken 1, 2, and 3. As it did and didnt do this.

First of is they didnt change much, some characters moveset it a little different, but it easy to learn.

Now for the gameplay itself, its very tekkenish. Except they changed where you can juggle the other person alot more than previous tekkens.

This hurts online for casual players, as a veteran tekken 6 player can juggle you the whole fight and not let you get a move in. i found this to hurt the game.

The campaign mode is very bland and shouldnt have been added, but its there for extra time spent playing their game.

Graphics are decent, gameplay is fine, but it just doesnt give me that tekken feeling i got with the old tekkens. Something is just different about it.

Overall i give it a 6/10 just because its a fighting game, after 5 mins of play it gets really boring.

Tekken 6 is a disappointment to anybody who has enjoyed the previous installations of the franchise. While the new game does a superb job of integrating several unique new characters into the mix the game falls flat on its face in almost every other way. I will only tackle the three that bugged me the most:

I am a very patient man, but even I have to admit that the load times are too slow. When you select your characters there is always a strange lag between your selection, when the players animated likeness appears in the background, and when the load completes. The lag comes across as sloppy and careless.

The juggles have gone way too far. The game has become less of a mental dogfight between two players and more of a competition between wrote memorization and a race to see who can pull off the first combo. All too often, if you are knocked into an airborne juggle you will land on the ground with half your health, only to find yourself making a 50/50 guess as to the method of getting back up. 50/50 in that if you guess wrong, rolling back for example, you are immediately bounced off the ground and back into the deadly wheelhouse of your opponent ending the match without as much as tossing a jab successfully.

My last problem is in the format for online play. Tekken 5's format was flawed, as most people can recall. You can find yourself being matched up with the same person over and over despite the fact that neither of you accept the match. Lag was a huge issue too and was most often the determining factor in deciding who would win the fight. Well, Tekken 6 did nothing to fix these problems. In fact, they made it worse. You can no longer create rooms, you must enter quick matches, lag is just as bad, and now you cannot even see the persons name that they are pitting you against... You must accept them blindly, or reject them blindly.

The only thing I enjoyed about this game were the awesome new characters. They are original and fun to use. But that's it.

I don't know what these gys are talking about. Sure, the scenario campaign was ridiculously hard and online is awfully laggy but put those aside and you have the best and latest Tekken installment to date. Tekken 6 has all your favorite characters except: Jun, Kunimatsu, Gen, Orgre, True Orgre, Angel, Unknown, Devil, Forest Law, and Michelle Chang.

PROS: Fighting at 60 fps is epic! The largest character roster ever! More customizations for your favorite character. Storyline was interesting. Introducing 5+ new characters in the series.

CONS: Awful lag in online mode. Ridiculously hard scenario campaign. Loading times are long but install the game and it loads slightly better. Alice has hax moves! The last health part where it makes your attacks stronger was not need and I think it's stupid. Azazel should have been a hard boss to fight but Nancy is and she's not even a boss.

Tekken 6

Despite what other users may say about this title, Tekken 6 is a good game. Before Tekken, there was Street Fighter. Street Fighter was the definition of over-the-top fighting, alongside Mortal Kombat, with outrages 100-hit combos, and super power moves. Tekken came along and changed the way fighting games were, and how they should be. With realistic fighting speeds, excellent juggles, and a great combo system, Tekken became a catalyst in fighting games today. In the latest installment, I found out there were new additions that were stunning. The combo system had been updated to where a veteran tekken player like myself even noticed. New characters brought excitement back to the Title. The only character i didn't like so much was Alisa because of her fighting moves. I found myself frustrated in battling her, using chainsaw hands, and rocket propelled arms. The graphics were even better in HD,(if u have an HDMI cord) and it was an all-out good game. Other than Alisa's fighting, the only problem i had was the Online multiplayer because of, that's right, you guessed it, LAG!!!!!! hopefully the next firmware update will improve this problem.

Best Fighting Game To Date

If there is a flaw in this game it is that you cannot make a room that is ranked. You can only fight ranked randomly. Other than that pretty awesome game. Scenario not to bad either. Oh another thing is that there are a couple more cheap fighters on this game that newbs like to use. (Alisa, Bob,Zafina) beware of button mashers. Then the older characters from 5 DR are still there and cheaper than ever (Lili,Eddy,Christie,Law) But all in all a pretty cool game. Fun if you know how to really play. Yoshimitsu is my favorite hes most advanced and you know when you fight him your not fighting a newb.(button masher) I use yoshimitsu his moves are still the coolest.

I can't believe all of the hater's reviewing this game. It is a great fighter with an extreme amount of content. There are characters for every fighting style and a game mode for every playing style. The entire game is very polished and well balanced for players of all skill sets. The only reason it didn't get a 10 from me is the occasional lag in the online mode. (Which is the mode I play the most.)

Don't believe the haters! If you like Street Fighter, DOA, Virtua Fighter, or BlazBlue, you will find this game a lot of fun. Give it a rent, but be warned, you are probably going to want to keep it.

I absolutely LOVE Tekken. This one is good, great at times, but has some disappointments.

First- I am addicted to the scenario mode!! Sure the controls are a bit tricky sometimes, but I am enjoying it!
Scenario mode is also how you unlock characters rather than via arcade mode as in other games...

Second- The character customization ROCKS!!! You'll see if you decide to give this game a try. (Which I did and bought used through GameFly)

Third- Arcade mode is DISAPPOINTING... The story in the begining is horribly done and uniteresting black and white comic book style. Then end bit is the animated story we all grew to love as in previous games, BUT it is suuuuper short. And the boss! Don't get me started. HE IS A PAIN IN YOUR BUM!!!!!!! I HATE him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All in all I feel it's worth the $38 I spent to get it used. :]

Love it or Hate it... This is Tekken

Tekken (5) would be Number 2 on my top five 3D fighters and number 3 on my top fighters of all time list. That is to say, I really dig Tekken. Ever since i saw the Tekken 2 commercial for the PSX i was hooked. (Did that guy just run up a mans chest and back flip into a body splash?)

I loved Tekken 2. Loved Tekken 3. Liked Tekken 4, and Loved Tekken 5.

As a VS game Tekken 6 is in a wierd place for me. I love VS play, but the guys who dominate Online are relentless (I hate you Paul and Roger jr.) When i play with someone of the same skill level, matches are fun, frantic and full of close calls. The online was basically lag free, and easily the best fighting experience online to date.

As a single player game, Tekken 6 isn't all that bad, once you get used to the controls. I actually found myself getting pretty obsessive with the scenario mode, even if i did skill through all but the one cut scene I saw, cause i had to go potty.

The level of customization in the fighters leaves little to be desired. Its light years ahead of Soul Caliber, and even better than Tekken 5.

If you like Tekken, you will like Tekken 6. All the old favorites have a load of new moves to play around with (because of the "bound" system--think of it as ground juggling) and the new characters (Zafina = Voldo) are all great additions and fit in well enough.

Recommended for people who like tekken, enjoy fighters, or just want an Online beat down by characters they will grow to hate.

Lasting Thought: If you are wondering. #1(3d) if Virtua Fighter 5, and #1 (all time) is Capcom vs SNK 2, #2 Virtua Fighter 5.

Also, Craig Marduk.

Not to much new to this, but a couple new characters and power burst when low on health. its still just tekken. They really need to add more to this game or even make a tekkken vs. game,( bloody roar might be good ). but pls namco do something before one of fighting genre greats turns into a " i remember that game i was very good at it too. What ever happen to it?", conversation piece!! PLS

Tekken 6 is a blast. A ton of characters, variety of moves, AI that anticipates and acts, and a fun online interface makes this game the game to beat for fighters. I actually bought this game with the arcade controller package and it brought me back to the days at the Family Fun Center and rolls of quarter wasting away a Saturday afternoon. My wife and I really enjoy this game, it brings out our competetive sides and there is plenty of smack to be told...

I thought that this game was going to live up to the high expectations that they were advertising, but they were wrong. The movie graphics are in no comparison to the game play, which looks like all of the other Tekken games. I felt as though there were too many movies scenes and loading, followed by more movie scenes and loading than actual playing time. The movie scenes should have been connected in stead of broken up the way they were. Again, I was not please with the game play graphics at all, especially on the PS3. In comparison to the graphics, I believe that Tekken 5 and 6 are the same.

I grew up on Tekken and seen it evolve from what it was in Tekken one to where it is now... Tekken 6 isnt a bad game, its more frustrating then anything, I feel they could have not brought back the God aweful Tekken Force mode but instead it is the pivotal factor of the game..... IF I WANTED AN ACTION ADVENTURE GAME I WOULDNT RENT TEKKEN.... I love customizing the characters and you have to beat the force mode to get tekken money, and everything is really expensive at that......

Namco/ bandai should have just kept the original arcade mode and expanded on the other modes like return the tag team feature, make it a four player tag team feature maybe..... create cooler modes where maybe you can even have like a royal rumble with like 5 other players online or something....

PROS:
1. the overall game play is fun if your a tekken fan and the graphics are nice and smooth.
2. Online is fun as well, I have heard a lot of complaints about the lag, I have a good connection so that doesnt affect me.
3. Customizing is on another level and thats always fun.. but too expensive.

CONS:
1. the one and only con has to be that the game basically circles around this Tekken Force mode and thats just sad....

I gave it a 6/10 because of great visuals and robust character selection. Unfortunately, it is more or less the same game as Tekken 4 and 5.

This is very much a rental game but a MUST have if price falls below $20 for collection value. I think in fighting genre, Street Fighter 4 is still the king to beat in terms of gameplay, fun, challenge and replay value. 2D game done right still beats Tekken or Virutal Fighter easily.

The Tekken franchise is one of the best fighting genres around and Tekken 6 will definitely not disappoint. The overall presentation is excellent and is chock full of CG cut scenes. The story may be confusing to some, but longtime fans will understand. Character models are pristine and overall design is awesome, but some textures and locations may seem a bit bland. The core gameplay of Tekken is still the same: simple, but difficult to master. The Scenario Campaign is a mixed bag; You will either love it or hate it, but for all achievement/trophy fanatics it cannot be avoided. There are a total of 40 playable characters this time around and each have their own individual stories and histories that players can enjoy. The online aspect is fairly good. There isn't too much lag, however on the Player Match option I would lose connection to the other player every now and then. There is supposed to be a patch sometime in the future which may solve some of these difficulties. Replay value is good and it will keep you busy for a while. At the end of the day, Tekken 6 is a very enjoyable game that should definitely not be missed by Tekken fans and gamers alike. 8/10

The game was pretty much like tekken 4 and 5 aside from the new modes added, the destructible enviorments didnt feel and look as good as portrayed but the overall fighting experience holds up to the tekken name, i gave it a 5 because for a nextgen game they could have done alot more with it, the graphics are amazing and plays very well, aside from the scenario the targeting and blocking is a little clunky but ok. Fans of Tekken will love the game, im not knockin it. Enjoy ppl
