I'd say this is a reserved recommendation to buy, but an absolute must play. The game play is simple but takes full and successful advantage of the vita hardware in a way very few games even attempt. The way Tearaway incorporates you as the player (and your world) into the game is charming and fun and it has a nice message, keeping up with Mm's usual high production standards. The art style is also very nice. The best single word to describe this game is pleasant.

That being said, there isn't a ton of content; I got the platinum trophy in two days and there isn't anything in the game to make to want to come back later on for another playthrough.

You owe it to yourself to play this if you own a vita, but its hard to say that its worth buying to own.

It's a common worry that there aren't many great games for the Vita. Tearaway should be a game that lessens than worry, albeit slightly. Straight from the creators of LittleBigPlanet, a franchise with an excellent Vita version, Tearaway is a unique and player friendly game. Although geared at a younger audience, it is fun for all ages. Virtually every feature of the Playstation Vita is implemented, even the front and rear cameras play a role in the game.

The artistic design of the game is amazing. And though the story isn't deep, the journey itself is enjoyable. Simply put, the game is full of charm, which makes it hard not to enjoy or to criticize. Its main downfall is its length. I was probably through with my first playthrough somewhere between 5 and 6 hours. There's some replayability, but there's no online functions or other game modes to provide this game any sort of lasting appeal. Nonetheless, it's a must play for Vita owners, especially those with any sort of affinity for LittleBigPlanet.
