For all the dads trying to justify getting an Xbox so they can spend more quality time with their kids this is the perfect game.

My daughter (8 yrs old) and I had the best time playing this game together over the course of a month or so (after homework of course). This is one of the few games we have actually purchased.

Anyway, it's a fairly straightforward platformer where the two characters, Tak and Lok, work together to smash the baddies and solve basic challenges together in order to win the Great Juju Challenge. It can be played in single player mode where the computer plays as one of the characters and you can switch between the two for the trickier parts. However, the game is best played, IMHO, with another player where the screen is split vertically and you work cooperatively to solve challenges and such.

The story involves competing against other teams of two for the best scores in time-based challenges. The challenges take place in a number of environments and new challenges open up as you increase your score and "beat" the other virtual teams. Though I normally don't like to replay levels to get a higher score my daughter and I had a lot of fun with this one as we spurred one another on to go faster and get a better time. You can increase your score by completing the challenge faster, getting various goodies along the way, and finishing some side-challenges. If you do really poorly on the first try for a challenge it won't matter because you'll want to replace your score on subsequent tries anyway.

The game is very funny and the voice acting (by the ever-present Patrick Warburton) is great.

Great game - I really wish there were more coop play games like this.
