Everyone who ever owned a gamecube will recall a gem call Super Smash Bros Melee. That game would go on to be the best selling gamecube game of all time.
Unfortunately, that disc is going to start forming dust on it because brawl will barely ever come out of your wii. This game is not just a roster update unlike other fighters, it has a handful of new characters and areas to duke it out. It also has the new adventure mode, the SubSpace Emissary which is remiscent to stages of mario only with the smash bros flair added in.
But that is not what will keep you going to play though.
Thanks to what nintendo did with its wifi connection, you can finally take the fight online with friends or anyone really. Unlike their other games which were online, this one was really put to the test and the brawls are hardly ever laggy so its smooth sailing for the rest of the fight.
The controls are perfect simply because there are four different ways to play be it Wii remote, Wii remote and nunchuck, Classic controller, or the quintessential gamecube controller. And one could always change the control scheme to their liking so everyone is satisfied.
The music, though, is what got me drooling the most. Hearing orchestrated versions of the songs I know and love is not just a nostalgia factor, but actually immerses one into the game. Oh and you have to like the ocarina of time medley and the MGS4 ones too.
Altogether, if you have a wii get this game. If you don't have a wii, buy a wii and get this game. You will not be dissapointed and quite frankly, will be playing for years to come.
