This is a perfect example of why the Wii outsold the ps3. Take an old platformer and make it great again. I hope that Nintendo will keep up this kind of greatness on there next titles this game is good for all ages. innovative and and excellent twist on an old genre.
This was OK. Don't get me wrong, this was one of the best Mario games I've ever played! It's just... not for the Wii... It seems quickly ported over from its never-released Gamecube version, without any Wii-specific features. Sure, you can shake the remote down to earn "Style Points" (Still haven't figured out what those do), and you can shake it up and down to fill meters to unfreeze yourself or use items, but there are so many more things that could have been done!
There's a ton of fresh gameplay mechanics built around the 2d papery mario theme, and some nice use of the Wii's controller. Every level is creative and exciting in different ways, and the puzzles are tough enough to keep me playing without becoming annoying. My only gripe, is the amount of mostly pointless dialogue used to reiterate the same story that gets thoroughly explained right at the beginning... But there is so much great content, the characters are so well done, and the artwork is so pretty, that I definitely won't be sending this game back to gamefly.
