I just bought my 3DS and I am a heavy xbox 360 player. I knew that Super Mario 3D Land was a must have to start my collection for my new handheld. I was not disappointed. Anyone who says this deserves lower than a 9 is either an older person who enjoyed Mario in 2D or they are just a troll. I haven't played many platformers but I've always had a pretty big liking for them. I actually just now finished the main part of the game. The best way to put it, it was pretty darn awesome. I mean I didn't play it nonstop but it definitely is a good game to have with you to work on it every now and then. But I just figured out that after you beat the game you have a number of special levels you can visit. So there is no shortage of levels. There are also 3 stars on every level so it should be a challenge to collect all of those. Levels are also timed so be fairly quick. I think anyone would enjoy this game unless they were a biased troll who was expecting Mario to run up on bowser with an AK-47 and semtex grenades yelling oo-rah while he calls in his attack helicopter lol but yeah anyways give this game a shot it is definitely a must have for your 3DS!
Mario games were my favorite growing up. My 7 year old son not so much. This game is easy enough to beat on his own, but can still be challenging enough to make it fun for older kids. It is easy to learn the controls and the graphics are awesome.
