no fun

This game was no fun as you were competing against the computer if you didn't have 4 players so you lost all the time. The controls are horrible. I tried to shot hoops and used the remote like it directed you before you play the game but only got one basketball to fly out of my hands. The next player (computer) comes in and is getting basket after basket. I stopped this game as it wasn't fun. I tried mini golf but didn't go beyond the 1st hole as I was beaten by the computer again. The computer pretty much won all of the games I tried. Therefore I found it boring and no fun what so ever. Nice concept but just doesn't work. Don't bother to rent this game as the controls don't work right. I tried to taunt other members but it didn't work. I didn't play with this game long before sticking it back in the sleeve to go back to Gamefly.

I pretty much knew this game would be bad because almost all other wii sports games are bad. So when i played this game i didnt have high expectations. Its not the worst game for the wii. But its not the best either. This game has many different games in it like basketball, mini golf, volleyball, and horse shoes are just a few of the 6 games in this game. The majority of the games are pretty junky. But horse shoes are kind of fun but its really long to play. Mini golf is fun but its really hard to hit the ball very short and i always got it very close and then hit it softly and it went all the way across the map. Which can be very fustrating. I only liked those two games. I would prouble suggest that you dont play this game unless youve played every other game on the wii and thats all you have to play. And dont even think about buying this game because your just wasting your money. Its not worth your time. Big Beach Sports is way better than this game and you should try that game if you really want to play a sports game. Check out my review for that game too. That game isnt perfect or even good but its better than this game.
There's no "Paradise" in this game

If you want to get away from it all, then ... go to a real life beach. SUMMER SPORTS: PARADISE ISLAND won't do you any favors.
SS:PI has seven dull and lifeless games that you play using a generic guy or gal. Each game has to be played by four participants, which means solo players have to put in three AI opponents, and thus watch each of the AI opponents take their turn, adding misery to the experience.
Let's take a closer look at each game.
First, we have BASKETBALL. It doesn't matter if you play H-O-R-S-E, Round the World or Shot Clock, the controls are some of the worst I've ever seen (turn the Wii Mote upside down and flick it? No thanks.) You'll have more success going out and playing a real game of basketball in a park or gymnasium.
Next, there's VOLLEYBALL. The controls are better, but in the heat of the moment, I would accidentally hit the ball over the net when I wanted to set up for a spike.
Then, there's BADMITION. The controls are okay, but constant up/down motion takes it toll on me.
Moving right along, we get to HORSESHOES and LAWN DARTS (who plays lawn darts anymore?) The controls here are very imprecise. I have little say in where my horseshoe or dart would land - this game relies more on luck than skill.
Last, we have GOLF and CROQUET. Controls for these games are clunky (easy to add power to my stroke, too hard to take it away.) The golf course consists of nine average holes, not "fun and wacky" ones the game advertises.
Save your $30 for a better game.
