Horrible

Amazingly bad.

This is by far the worst implementation of Sudoku I have ever played. And the Kakuro board that it gave me first... I don't even think it was a legal board. (There was a column of 1 number, and it wasn't labeled.)

The touch screen is basically pointless and is only used to taps the numbers (layed out along the bottom of the screen, real tiny) and some other buttons that were apparently useless. (Looked like some kind of undo, but you can just overwrite the number... Pointless.)

There is NO point to the game other than playing those 2 games. No plot, no intrigue, nothing. There's plenty of FREE versions of these games that are much better, and if you MUST have it for DS, get Brain Age instead.

Avoid this at all costs.

Horrible

Worst designed DS game I have ever played

I love Sudoku, but this game is horrid. The interface was designed for perhaps a cheap LCD version of the game. There is no hand writing recognition, and the number select list is not even grouped in a 3x3 grid. The touch directional pad does not recognize diagonal movement. I can't decide if the worst part is that the user cannot write notes on the puzzle or that the user cannot click on a target square on the game board.

Only try this if you are desperate to play Kakuro on the DS. However it suffers from the same design flaws written above.

I really like the Sudoku games on Brain Age and thought that this might be a great way to expand the numbers of games I can play. This is an extremely disappointing release. The game play is difficult. You can not make notes on the possible values of the squares, touching the numbers sometimes gives a wrong number, and having to access each square with the arrow pad or the touch arrows is tedious at best. I really dislike this game! Brain Age is a much better choice if you wanna play Sudoku!
