I never realized how hard it would be to drive recklessly in a video game but, when someone is barking orders about which car to sideswipe and which one to ram, suddenly crashing into things and doing powerslides is actually difficult.
It's a great day when you get points for driving like a maniac and thats one thing that the game delivers on. They'll have you dodging lava, hitting jumps and performing mid air collisions with helicopters, doing stunt shows on a motorcycle and on and on.
The biggest disappointment was the graphics, especially the replay engine. I mean, you go through the hassle of retying the scene until you get perfection, only to watch the replay and be disapointeed with the quality of the visuals.
All in all, it's worth the rent but, I wouldnt pay $50 for it.
I am hooked on this game but I don't know why... even my girlfriend wonders why I continue to play it while screaming at the screen in frustration after trying time and time again. The graphics are great and the stunts are cool but can we get more of a heads up from Mr. stunt coordinater as to whats coming up in the next one? It seems like he lets you know theres going to be a 180 when you reach the 180. It's a game of memory for sure and I guess mine isnt that great. Still trying to get higher star rating so I can unlock the next movie. Didn't even know there was an online feature, I'll have to check that out. Over all... a good game
I quite enjoyed this game. It's definitely a rental, as it doesnt last long, and there's not a lot of replay value, but for the while it lasts, it's original and fun. The loading times are super quick, and even though you have to start at the beginning of a challenge if you screw up, the load is pretty much instantaneous. The learning curve is pretty forgivable, and it doesnt take long to start really nailing challenges. It gets rather difficult towards the end, however, and I simply didnt have the patience for it. But it's a lot of fun to pick up and just goof off with for a couple hours or a couple days. I recommend it.
