Very Good

Bring back memories

People that complained that the gameplay mechanics haven't change since SF2 was right... but fortunately that's what interests me most with the game...

Once I play my first battle, I definitely realized that this is a must have..

I have to admit though, this game will interest mostly who followed the series from the beginning.. Everything is just so beautiful, and I can't put my controller down..

Don't get me wrong.. I don't usually play fighting games. In fact, this is probably the first fighting game in about 10 years...

I decided to return the game... and bought the collector's edition :)

I took 1 pt off due to the fact that it is insane hard to unlock gouken and seth (not something newcomer would easily do) and 1 pt off for the fact that we have to pay to get alternate costumes!!

$20 total to get the alternate costumes.. what's up with that Capcom??????

This game is the best game I've played for PS3. Capcom could have easily ruined this franchise by putting out a nasty 3d Tekken style remake, like a certain Midway franchise I know, but thankfully they did not. They weren't trying to make it Soul Calibur or anything that is is not, which makes this game so great. They knew they had a classic 2d fighter and they merely improved it.
I see room for improvement though. The biggest thing almost is enough not to play the game. The theme song, I believe it's called "Indestructible". This sounds like it's sang by Nick Carter and is his new theme song. Awful! To add insult to injury, it loops! It never ends!
It has some white outlines around the characters that make them stand out of the background, a little too cartoony for me.
Overall, awesome!

GOOD: art style, controls, gameplay, characters, online

BAD: hit detection, controls, story, character design

OVERALL: controls are spot on, but if playing with d-pad and not used to fighter, it can take awhile to get used to. the art style is done really nice and helps with the moves looking cool to perform. the over the top muscle look isnt for me, but dosent ruin the game. the hit detection can be off with some moves and characters. at first i thought i was seeing things but went to training and watched Sagats leg go Ryu over and over. story seems interesting, but is shown through poorly done anime cut scenes.

FINAL: buy/keep it
