I never played SF on a console before. This is a good entertaining adaption. Kinda hard to figure out all the controls. I'm good with Ryu and Ken, because their moves are identical to the arcade game. I'm sure the other characters are the same, I just don't remember their moves.
You'll probably enjoy this game even more if you had an arcade stick. Only thing I don't like is that they make Seth almost impossible to beat. But I've only had the game one day, playing it on medium. When I learn how to do Super and Ultra combos, it may be easier.
Another problem I've had with the game is I couldn't connect to have an online match. Not sure if it was on my end because after I played SF, I played multiplayer of another game with no problems.
Well as a Street Fighter Vet, ( been there since Street fighter) I think that its s tep in the right direction. graphics are great, Story is great, Music is Very memorable. Now here is the downside. Online function is a bit shallow. Ok they didnt make custom chars. but here is a function that would have been great. Spectator modes. More Fighters.Maybe a Super Streetfighter 4 turbo edition.. lol, but we cant have it all right? Overall is did bring back a lot of memories. Enjoy it, we might not see another Street Fighter for another 5 to 10 years.
I think that if you are a fan of the franchise you shouldn't be too let down. A lot of pressure gets put on remakes because of the new gen thing and I think some stuff falls through the cracks. Graphics are surprisingly crisp and the combos when performed correctly. Which isn't too difficult at all. Are very rewarding. Over all I thought this was a great arcade fighter. Hands down best for 08-09 so far. and really, what else is there? Hope this helped.
