Before I give my honest review I would just like to state that I am not a fanboy! Okay. The concept of this game is pretty easy to guess because it's right on the front cover. Two guys (Ryu and Ken) are getting ready to punch the daylights out of each other. Graphics are good, considering this is an old game, they are pretty good. Fighters look cartoony but I guess that will be expected. Sound is good. Fighters will throw out cheesy entry lines but it gives me a laugh every now and then. Controls are simple enough, if you really wanna win just rely on button mashing. But after you make it through a couple stages of arcade everything gets harder. I soon found out that unlike some fighting game where you can just unleash fury with attacks, you must think strategically. If you keep attacking your opponent will find an opening and show no mercy (I tried this against Abel and he continually body slammed me afterwards). All in all it is a pretty fun game. This was my first Street Fighter game so no bias here! Fans of the series will probably give it a 9. What can I say? It's a solid fighting game. You just have to give it time just like any other new game. I say rent it for fighting fans. On the other hand, it could be a waste of time for newcomers of the series. And as for fans of the series... Well, I'm sure they've already had this one for a while. Thanks for reading! Hope this was helpful. :)
