This game is my personal favorite, and if this wasn't critique, I'd give it a 15/10. But, there are problems with this game that keep it below a perfect: The voice acting for Vanilla sounds really awkward. There's not much music while you travel. The story is a little too open-ended. You have to look for people, with no clue given to their specific whereabouts, except for the town they're in/nearby. The loading times can get annoying. And, the character models don't move very smoothly.
Now, for the good: There are so many different choices in the game. You can do so many things. You can be so many occupations. The battles are fun. The song system is greatly enjoyable, and does a good job of staying to the beat of the song. There's just so many things to do in this game! You can go on dates, you can farm, you can be a trader, you can be a policeman, you can be a taxi driver, you can be an archeologist, you can be part of an evil secret society, you can be in a band...the list goes on and on.
All in all...This game will not be enjoyable to you if you're looking for your typical RPG, or your typical ARPG. But, if you really enjoy sidequests on RPG's, then this game's unique style should cater to your tastes. I know it did for me. The improvements I could hope to see in a sequel (now word at all about one...) are more interaction using Vanilla, and not only being able to venture in a trotmobile. More story would be cool too
