Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast is a very Good game, involving numerous weapons, items, missions, boss battles, Force Powers. As Kyle Katarn, who works for the Rebel Alliance as a mercenary at the start you travel to various planets involving exciting missions, where escort VIPs, infiltrating Imperial Bases, and basically destroying objectives, which gets very exciting. When you progress throughout the game, you acquire new weapons and objectives, and the missions become quite puzzling but sometimes frustrating. As you attain your own lightsaber, you also earn force powers when you progress throughout the game. You also get to encounter never before seen in movie Dark Jedi like Reborn, Shadowtropper. It's very intriguing when you encounter legendary characters like Luke Skywalker, Lando Calrissian, R2D2, C3P0. When you beat story, the Jedi Arena Multiplayer makes up for it's name, because the different modes gets very enjoyable. Jedi Outcast is a great game for Star Wars Jedi Fans, if you like soaring through missions with your lightsaber and force powers, you love this game.

An 8 out of 10.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, a lot of Star Wars fanboys pegged Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast as the best Star Wars game ever. After playing it, I can verifiably say it is not. It is not even one of the top five Star Wars games I have personally played. But we're not here to talk about great games like KOTOR, Rogue Squadron or even Republic Commando. No, this is Jedi Outcast, a game about a Jedi who hasn't been in any of the movies battling a Darth no one has ever heard about. Oh sure, you talk to Luke in cutscenes, but you're stuck playing Kyle Katarn. He's a former Jedi Knight that almost fell to the Dark Side, but ended up becoming a mercenary instead, almost lost his connection to the force and had to find himself again in the Valley of the blah, blah, blah... can't we just play Luke already? Okay, so the story is not as epic as other Star Wars properties, but that's not the real problem. The game is the real problem. Twitchy controls, twitchy frame rate, substandard graphics by today's standards, relatively long load times, endless pits of instant death... this game has it all. And most could be forgiven if the game was not so frustrating to traverse. Half the time, you don't have a clue where you're supposed to go. Once you find out, you'll likely encounter one of the games many "insane jumping sections" which the game will pass off as puzzles, but are actually just annoying. There are also some stupid things, like the fast some glass is breakable and some isn't (thought a lightsaber would cut through any glass). The game is pretty long for an adventure game, which might not be an asset in this case. The redeeming factor of this game is the multi-player. Several types of game and room for up to 13 customizable bots make playing with friends much better than playing alone. Still, the Force can't hold this one together. If you want great Star Wars games, look to the KOTOR and Rogue Squadron series.

This game was bad. The first one was so much better in a lot of ways. First, you only get one guy to play...how boring..no create a character. Second, no double or duel lightsabers...boring. Third no ability to modify the force powers you want...boring. Lastly, the lack of being able to play an evil guy...boring. Over all it was a stinker..if you must play a star wars game..stick to kotor 1 or 2 or the first jedi academy
