Star Trek: Conquest for Wii Reviews by Gamers

Just don't rent this game. There's some potential but nothing seems to work right. No story, bad interface, extremely limited options for a strategy game, and poor controls for the Wii.

Strategy games these days usually have resources (mine stuff to buy ships, etc.) and research (unlock new weapons, etc.). In this game, your bases can only do one or the other--not both like in every other game. Research is limited too--just six options. That's the whole research tree!

Combat is either boring (if you choose the automated fight option) or confusing (if you choose the arcade option). You target ships with the Wii remote but, most of the time, enemy ships are off-screen and therefore untargetable. Oh, they can target you, of course! That is the definiation of frustrating.

I've played worse but not much. Skip this title and save yourself the rental.
