i both love and hate this game but love might be too strong of a word for this. wasn't to into the graphics but it wasn't a huge problem but would've liked to have seen something a bit more real. the fighting mechanics were pretty simple and easy to pick up even when upgrading your abilities. the negative about this game was that it kept glitching out with choppy frame rate and get stuck fighting a villian that i wasn't allowed to punch for some reason or they just disappeared randomly the game even froze a couple of times. but web swinging through new york city felt very free and exhilarating. the story was good and the fact that you can choose a path is pretty cool. you gotta have quite some patientce to play this game but the pay is pretty good. i do hope there is a second web of shadows but is alot more cleaned up.

Very Good

A More Realistic Spidey Chapter...

While most reviewers relate this game to Spiderman 2, I will review this game based solely on what I saw in THIS game. The story is not relative to any movie, however, it does have a very loose story relationship to the Ultimate Spider-Man comics. The graphics look sweet, it looks like I've jumped straight into a comic. The story, while short if you just wanna breeze right through, is interesting, but provides some nasty snags... The morality, while giving the player a reason to try the game at least four times, always has you pausing the game to see if you're on the side you want to. The combat is really what you want from spiderman, easy swapping between land, air, and wall fighting. The combat is smooth and the best in any spidey game out there. The only concern with combat has to be the inequalities between the two suits, black has all the power and health, but it takes forever to recharge your health and you are a lot slower than you are in a red suit. The red suit is quick, but offers almost no damage resistance, or power. The game gets an 8/10 and that is why!

Excellent

hate making choices but love the game

Making good or bad choices is almost like showing the player's bad side, but the story is original (which I like) and the controls are good, with epic fights and huge challenges.
