The only word that describes this game is boring. The first fifteen minutes of the game are kind of fun. Swinging around is the best part of the game obviously, but that's about it. The game has you constantly doing the same missions. I'd even go as far to say that this is the most repetitive Spiderman game yet. Fight some bad guys, move on to fight more of the same bad guys, and so on. The camera sucks and the lock on system never locks on to what your trying to lock on to. Overall I give this game a four. Four points for the swinging aspect of the game.
The graphics in this game are a COMPLETE disappointment when it comes to the PS3. The voice over work is ridiculous. If you've played the last two or three Spiderman games from Activision, you've played this one. They were supposed to start from the ground up as far as the fighting went but same old, same old. I stopped playing after 30 minutes when I got put through another one of those lame mission where you have to swing through the markers. Offensively specific. JUST ME PLAY THE GAME! No, thank you.
Another dropped ball. After the Hulk and Iron Man fiascos, I thought the studios had gotten the message, sigh. And with all these 10s and 9s up here, I'm wondering if there isn't some hidden marketing going on here, because I was fooled into thinking that this was going to be a big and challenging game. Instead, it got so repetitive that I found myself WAITING for the story to kick in! I thought there was an invasion going on in the city! I patiently go through 2 or 3 sets of earning new moves and still no symbiotes.
The combat and web swinging was fun, so was upgrading Spider-Man, but I was really, really waiting for that "invasion" to happen! Don't tell me that I have to play it for x-amount of hours for the real action to kick in. Not fun. I'm really thinking some of you guys up here are getting paid to like this, cuz there's no way I can give this a 10. Unless you guys are just easy, just like with that Star Wars TFU fiasco. Please, spare me.
