Shattered Dimensions was great, it was just what the doctor ordered. Linear, Levels, Different Gameplay in 3 different Eras, just like the old days of the web head video games. Edge of Time was a great sequel to the style, although it didn't give us the variety of gameplay that shattered dimensions offered it was still a great linear spider-man. The story gets more intriguing as I played through it and the add of characters such as Anti-Venom which hasn't been featured in a spider-man game after his debut was a nice throw in. I was glad to see so much of 2099's Universe throw in since the comic line got canceled years ago. The costumes you can unlock are pretty interesting aswell. Featuring costumes such as: All-New Spider-Man (Ultimate comics), Big-Time (Spidey's futuristic suit from Horizon labs in the amazing comics), Future Foundation or FF (Spidey's costume from the FF line where he replaces johny storm and leads to the Fantastic four being the Future Foundation) and more! If you're a True Believer such as I am definitley pick this one up.
Much worse than the previous Spider-Man game. Story is terrible. There are no bosses! No Green Goblin, Lizard, Sandman, Vulture, or anyone other than Anit-Venom. The challenges in this game to unlock extra abilities and such are designed bad. Most of them have talking over 5 or more seconds of a timed challenge. When you retry the challenge from the menu, the talking repeats, over and over as you try to beat the challenge.
Same levels over and over, a story that loses its way time and time again (no pun intended)...could have been a great button smasher game but amateurish level design and beyond horrible 2099 levels where you try to maneuver while falling break any enjoyment this game has...about 10 hours to beat
