Compared to the Spiderman Shattered Demensions, this game isn't as good.
You only get to choose between Amazing and Future Spiderman, which I thought would be cool at first, but really isn't. I had the most fun with Noire spiderman, which they took out.
Fighting in the game is the same as SD, but everything you fight is much harder. They add rockets and lasers to the mobs.
The storyline was really awesome, it's really hard to explain to someone, but as you're playing through it, you get it more and more.
The reason I want this game out of my house though is because of the challenges. The challenges in this game are stupid hard. You have to replay most of them over and over and over again. not to mention almost every room has a challenge. I DO like how you can just jump to any challenge.
Spiderman games seem to be a dime a dozen. He's always coming out with one and they usually have the same thing in commong - they aren't that good. That was until the previous installment (Shattered Dimensions) when the production quality and gameplay seemed to take a nice bump to the good side.
Spiderman: Edge of Time is a pretty solid game, but you are going to have to be a Spiderman fan to really enjoy it. There are so many other big name games coming out this holiday season, that it is really hard to recommend this game in place of them. But, if you play a lot of games and blew through everything else or are just a super hardcore Spidey fan then you might want to give it a try.
