this game is very good and fun but it was to short and a rip off. it was short because the non-movie story lines were short and easy. the game didn't follow the main movie story very well and didn't spoil the movie at all(at least the first half didn't). it was a rip off because the playstation 3 and xbox 360 versions had a lot more things to do than the ps2 and wii versions(i have a ps2). there was not very much stuff to do after you beat the game. this game seemed rushed but i think that is because they were busy on the new spiderman game called spiderman friend or foe, a new twist on the legend a new take on the movies...

After the "Spiderman 2" video game established that you could actually have a great game based upon a movie, the "Spiderman 3" game comes along, and reminds you the real purpose of these slapped-together games is a cross-promotion of the movie, pure and simple. I was counting down the days to get this game... and then played it, and said, "okay, what??" The graphics are WEAK, and the web swinging control was better in "SM2." Years and improved technology later, and THIS is the best they could come up with?? Central Park may be more detailed, but the rest of Manhattan is clearly SMALLER than "SM2" game. Every half-swing, and you're in a different area. This game is a pathetic letdown.
Spiderman 3 for the Ps2 is a big joke and a waste of time. After playing this game I felt cheated and lied to. The game was not the ultimate spider man experience that the creators hyped it up to be. In reality the game seemed to be rushed together and unfinished. The graphics were poorly done, there were empty interior space in majority of the buildings (even in the cut scenes), the cars on the streets were badly made generated copies of each other, there were no busy streets, and only a hand full of people on the streets at a given time. It was hard to understand the story line of the game because all the missions were jumble up together. The fighting system was off and on during most of the combat. For example if you wanted to do a web attack, the web would freeze up on an opponent fall apart and fail. The game was extremely buggy and it froze a lot. Also the game spent a lot time loading between missions --even after the small random crime missions--it did not have a continuing flow. The boss fights were long, easy, tidiest, and stupid. After playing this game I believe that the Ps2 version isn’t finished and it is just the frame work for the actual game they planned on puting out or, they just didn’t care.
