A poorly slapped together movie cash in

Spiderman 2 was a new and innovative game. Spiderman 3 for the Wii is handed over from Treyarch to Vicarious Visions, and the product is a new game that is worse than Spiderman 2.
Technically, the game is not a PS2 port. That does not mean the graphics were not dumbed down to fit the PS2. A direct port of Spiderman 2 graphics would actually have looked better.
New York is no longer fun to explore. Not only are the buildings and locations now inaccurate, but the buildings appear dull and empty. This normally wouldn't be too bad a thing, but it ruins the one fun part of the game: the swinging.
It doesn't take a genious to see that this game was poorly tested and not smoothed out before its movie-rushed release. The designers tried to hide their poor textures with fancy, overdone lighting effects. This causes the frames per second in cutscenes to drop to a sub-movie/television level.
The swinging is fun with the Wii remote and nunchuck. No one will complain about that. Those who played SM2 will remember the fun of swinging around and stopping random bad guys from doing their dastardly deeds. Now you have to go through a black screen and loading period to even play AND EXIT these mini-missions. Loading times turn open world fun into tedious running around.
Combat is easily the worst part of the game the camera is awful, and, for some reason, holding a button and tilting the nunchuck is the only way to fix it. You use the nunchuck controller to fight, making it impossible to move the camera during combat.
