Perfect

A fantastic, underrated game.

I rented this game because I thought the combat looked decent, and I heard the story was great. Playing it, I foun d the game to be one of my favorite games of this year.
The story is fantastic, a modern version of Apocalypse Now and Heart of Darkness. This is easily the only game that made me think about everything that I did. The graphics are good, but I recommend installing it, since there are some hiccups.
The gameplay is great. It's a very tight third person shooter. If Gears of War was placed in today's wars, it would feel an awful lot like this. The controls are tight, and every gun feels right.
The multiplayer was not meant to be in the game, and is thus lackluster. The developer once said he never wanted a multiplayer, but 2K would not publish the game unless it had a multiplayer, so they tacked it on. It's decent, but you could tell there was little effort.
However, the single player is easily where this game shines. In a day where shooters storylines are lackluster, and by the book, this game was a great, refreshing, experience that I highly recommend.

Excellent

Harsh and brutal storyline. Simple action gameplay

Gameplay is simple, similar to Max Payne 3, and you could breeze through the main campaign over the weekend. What makes this game stand out is the story. Very anti-war, anti Call of Duty. There's no fun in killing in this game, and some of the twists and revelations in this game are simply disturbing. For fans of films like Platoon or Apocalypse Now, this was one of the most powerful stories I've seen.
