A compelling experience sadly overshadowed by (minimal spoilers) my anticipation/realization of the "gotcha" moments. In other words I was not in the mindset the developers wanted in order to convey the "inner monster," "descent," and "war is bad" themes directly, though I could still look at it objectively with favor and awe in the quality of execution despite not having been fully immersed. You owe it to yourself to play it through to completion, keeping in mind that the mundane shooting is a conscious design choice. That said, I wish gameplay could have found an ambitious way to be fun while at the same time coherent with a negative portrayal of war, but that seems to be an oxymoron. The point being, make it through all the way ignoring the limitations of thematic inconsistencies brought by playing a shooting game and view it as an experience and inward reflection, rather than entertainment. Pay attention to the environment, dialogue, and loading screens for added wow come the conclusion.

OK Ive played a lot of shooters in my time but honestly i was really surprised about how this game plays out now iam not going to spoil the story for u but it was great fresh breath of air to the Shooter gene in games.now yes Cod GEARS and halo are all great games but like i said this was different. rent this game if u was something different then Cod Halo and GoW
This game is easy to recommend to friends but hard to say anything without spoiling too much. The story is easily one of the most emotionally fueled campaigns this gen has seen. Sure some of the tropes you normally see are there but they get turned on their head. Go ahead and give this a try and you will see why so many people like it
