spartan is a good game. You go through the game hacking and slashing romans, although there is`a story. You can also use god powers and turn people into stone, the controls are pretty good, graphics are pretty good, sometimes the hand action is blocky. There is a little reply value, you can go back in the game and find extra artwork. I was a little dissapointed that there was not multiplayer or coop play in the game.

I loved the game, the combat system and graphics to the story line itself. I actually wish it was a bit longer but with good games don't we always? How you get multiple weapons to work for every situation and how they each have a different combo and special was a great add on to the combat, to bad i didn't notice i could change my weapons with the D-pad till the 2nd to last level. I also liked how the secretes added items / units you could use in the arena. This game is a great one, but because the story line is a bit shorter then i think it should be. I would suggest only renting it not buying it, unless you like to get 100% and spend a long week playing the arena to get 1st place then by all means buy it.

Spartan Total Warrior is a great game because of the weapons and allies you fight with. The graphics are alright. But on the 6th and 7th level it gets a little confusing. There's 16 levels and could take 3-4 days to beat. During the levels you start to notice you have fewer warriors helping you. The only flaw is probably the amount of warriors you get and how weak and retarded they are.
