Overall Soul Caliber IV is a good game. The graphics are great, the controls are fluid, and the character choices are on par with all of the other games. However, story mode is short and boring, tower of souls is over fairly quickly, and character creation seems tiresome and pointless.
Pros: Excellent graphics Fluid Controls Star Wars characters-the apprentice is amazing, a little unfair actually Tower of Souls is an interesting addition, but not as entertaining as conquest mode in Soul Caliber II
Cons: The story mode is extremely short and very easy. You play through 5 stages and get one line of dialog per stage. Character creation is massive, but useless in my opinion. I guess it can be helpful for online play if you chose to do that. Some characters are stronger than others, which makes matches unbalanced. Not enough to do in the game to keep you occupied for very long.
Probably won't appeal to the casual gamer, as this game requires quite a bit of practice with any character to do well in even the normal modes of single player. Button-mashers will probably get owned online as well, so spending a good amount of time in training mode will be crucial to doing anything in this game.
Awesome graphics Awesome characters Awesome "force powers" Awesome swords Controls were a little annoying at times but still...awesome! Buy it! At $60, I say this game is cheap! It's worth a lot more than 60! Never gets old!!!!
