Beautiful graphics and the ability to make your own character make up the bulk of the charm of this game. But you'll find yourself bored before you get you character just right with having to play the same stale storyline over and over just to get the money to buy the clothes and weapons to make your character unlame.

If you like games with tons of unlockable stuff then Suol Calibur 3 should really be on your list. The graphics have there ups and owns. The character models are not as good as Soul Calibur 2. Though the environments look gorgeouse. They are so detailed that I actually put it on two player just to enjoy the look of the backgrounds. A great new feature you may like is the creat-a-character mode. the game plays just as good as the first one. If you are a huge fan of the previouse SC you might get a little mad at some changes I sure did. But still, SC3 is a game that actually feels like a sequel unlike others. But it is not as good as the last game. Just read my Soul Calibur review.

Bad

By Far The Cheapest Figting Game Ever

I've played a lot of fighting games, but SCIII is by far the cheapest. And I mean that both as in the AI and the overall quality of the product.

Though before I go any further, I must say I both own and immensely enjoyed SCII, but all III has changed is added prettier graphics, ridiculouly cheaper AI, and loads of completely worthless extras.

The AI. This is the single most important factor in a fighting game, at least for those who intend on playing it single player, and SCIII is probably the cheapest fighting game I have ever played. The AI in SCIII is stupid, so Namco must have felt compelled to hide this by making the AI supremely cheap. In stark contrast, the AI in DOA4 is amazing. Every character seems to have a unique AI, and the AI adapts to how you play, meaning you have to constantly change your game up to keep the AI guessing. SCIII is not like this at all. The AI is the same with every character and feels that way. The only thing that changes are the moves between different characters. On top of that, the AI does not adapt to your style of play at all, and instead just insantly dodges your attacks, pummels you mercilessly when you are trying to get up, and gets out of virtually EVERY throw (I counted once, out of about 10 matches, I attempted 20 throws and the computer broke out of EVERY ONE).

If you want my advice, don't bother with this game at all. But if you do, do not bother playing as any of the slow characters unless you want to have a heartattack. The CPU will block or dodge everything, and the characters are horribly imbalanced to the point where somehow a taichi sword does the same amout of damage as a massive hammer.

To top it off is a set of worthless extras. The 'strategy mode' is an utter joke. The create-a-character is okay, but you can't really do much with the characters you make.

Avoid this one at all costs. I bought it for $15 and feel completely ripped off.
