Sega showed a prime example of why their counsels bombed. Sonic was a major bomb from graphics, to sound quality, to bugs. Nothing like jumping onto a wall and freezing to it for a few seconds, or poor quality bugs causing you to fall off a ledge because the game freezes and starts again. Storyline was good but as far as any good qualities, that's it. I listed it as weak, and that's a sympathetic rating. Dont waste time and money on this one.
Frustrating, glitchy and cheesy. Those three words pretty much sum up the game value of Sonic. It is true that the graphical aspect is nice (even considering there are some bad frame rate issues with too much going on) but the game play is horrible, the controller scheme is shoddy, the story line is cheesy and clichéd (come on!! Sonic having a love affair with a human princess!!??) and the sounds effects leave something to be desired.
Don't buy it, don't rent it... don't look at it. You will be disappointed.
Everyone's favorite blue hedgehog has made it to the next generation systems, and I have to say he deserves better. The gameplay is all the same, but the graphics made me think I rented a game for the PS2.The boss battles are too easy but the bosses themselves are great. If theres anything that really stands out in this game is the opening sequence. It looks like an opening to a new Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts game. This game is not next-gen material.I recomend the Sonic game for the Wii.
