Let me just say this game was a very warm and has a colorful story both in telling and illustration. Making it a fun retelling in their own fashion.
However this game had plenty of faults, such as game controls. I spent much of the game just shaking the controller and hitting anything in my way and even worse getting away with it. This game was also short and linear with very few choices during play. In the end I think the game was an improvement from the predecessor secret rings, and the music accompaniment was as high quality from a Sonic game as ever, though in serious need of a redo on game play. For the short time it was fun, but still needs tweaking.
It is a fair game all together, with great gameplay experience and an average plot. It has good-ish graphics and multiple features of customization. Unfortunately though, it is suprizingly short. All storylines were beatable in roughly five hours, cutscenes and credits included. Controls need work in certain areas when it expects you to move fast. It also has a LOT of collectables earned mainly at random in its limited stages, so you'll be repeating stages ig your not lucky. Its last main flaw is that every once in a while it jumps from easy-medium to crazy hard without real practice. All in all it is one of those games that is really fun even though it kind of rips you off at certain points, making it a good game - for all five hours of it. So remember: it does't last long so rent it unless you can work with repetition. Also, for those with reference to it, gameplay is most simalar to Sonic and the Secret Rings.
Note: this review MAINLY focuses on the plot of the game and needs more looking into on extras. (although they probably won't that long if the main deal is that short)
