This game is good but there are a couple flaws. The game lacks unlockable characters, there are only two characters with them working for the third character. There are some bad graphics but that is it. The bonus stages are great and in the tougher levels they are you guess it, tougher but that is good. The 3-D boss battles are unique and since it is on the DS, that is great! You controll Sonic, the mascot of Sega and the whole reason for all the Sonic games, of course. Blaze is a cat that is from an another universe that can't express her true feelings and is cursed with her flames. I won't tell more because I want you to play it. So I will sum it up, this is a good game that you should buy or rent.
After so many horrible Sonic games (and a few decent ones), finally a gem is created. Taking the gameplay that made Sonic a legend and the dual-screens of the Nintendo DS, Sonic Rush is absolutely amazing. Few games for the DS compare in quality. The only bad thing I can say is that, while the 3D boss battles are a nice addition, they seem very, very similar to each other and don't offer up a real challenge. Sonic fans must get this game
I really wanted to like this game more. I mean, it's very similar to the old fast paced side scrolling games in the early 90's. It's just the fact that everything is too similar that brings this game down. Sure, there is a bit of a gimmick. Every enemy you kill fills a meter on the side that lets you do special moves, but it hardly contributes to game play. You get to play as a new character, Blaze, but haven't you noticed that every sonic game has a new character lately? It's just not original. Don't get me wrong, it's fun if you like this kind of thing, but it's all more of the same. Go ahead and rent this one. But I warn you, you may have liked it better when it was called Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
