Mediocre and Repetitive

This game is not nearly the success that the New Super Mario Brothers has been. Being more of a Sonic fan than a Mario fan I had high expectations. It just seemed like there is a whole lot of content missing. From a lack of bonus games to repetitive predictable bosses this game just seems like work. It is focused on Sonic moving fast, however there are places in levels that require doing something just right or you fall to your death. Where are the special shields like they had in Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles? I just seems like there is almost nothing new brought to the table, and they dropped a lot of the old good ideas.
On the plus side, it is visually sharp (for a DS). And not glitchy. But above that it seems to be bare minimum gaming and enjoyment.
