Extra Zone (Super Sonic and Super Blaze)
Collect all 7 Chaos Emeralds in Sonic's story and finish his story. You must also finish Blaze's story. The Extra Zone will be on the character selection screen once you meet both these requirements
Unlock Sound Mode and Time Attack

Unlock Zone X in Time Attack
Zone X is an extra level not featured in the normal gameplay mode. There are 4 acts, and each are reminiscent of Sonic 2's loopy 2-player stages.

Unlock Blaze as a playable character

Unlockable tracks in sound test
When you first unlock sound test, tracks 110 through 127 will be missing. To unlock these, you must beat the extra zone. To unlock the extra zone, you must complete both Sonic and Blaze's stories and collect all of the Chaos Emeralds as Sonic. If done correctly, A third icon will apear on the character select screen.
