(The Big Bro refers to High School gamers and the Little Bro refers to Elementary School gamers)
Big Bro: Sonic Rush Adventures takes Sonic back to the good old days, but wait! there's more! The bosses are now way more fun and there are plenty of collectibles and mini-games to keep you entertained. The game plays simple if you've ever played a Sonic game (and come on, we all have at one point), and adds many new chances to do tricks for extra points. Even if you haven't played Sonic before, the game has a great tutorial. There is a part that brings it down though... I really try not to skip the dialog between characters in games but I could just not handle it. Not only that but the dialog is very VERY repetitive, here's what happens in every dialog: Marine acts all tough (and somewhat annoying), Tails acts like a total pansy, and Sonic puts in a couple of words that really don't add to the story. I did skip the dialog, but that did leave me confused at times. "Wait, when did this guy get here?" I asked myself when a koala bear character appeared after I skipped a dialog, "Oh he's some sort of professor... no wait." Terrible writing aside, the game is just classically fun so the story doesn't rain on this parade of an amazing game.
Little Bro: The dialog, not the best. As a kid, the game is a bit hard for me. I could not beat some of the bosses. There are boats in this game, which is the system for getting from island to island. They're cool because in other games you just click on places and and get there. The running part, the thing is that sometimes you randomly run into enemies and lose all of your rings. I wish that the enemies were more noticeable so I could attack them. And what's with the dinosaur you get when you do a mission? He doesn't do anything! Big Bro: I'm pretty sure it's a collectible. It doesn't have to do anything, it's like a trophy you know? Little Bro: Oh, well it would be nice to have it be a mini-game or something.
the game was okay better than the first one.but..............how many characters where there 2!!!it would have been much better if tails and marine where playable characters with there own story mode. but other than that the game was okay and it will last up two four days straght.but if your a sonic lover have it in your collectoin. plus just to put is straight this was a pretty good game.so if your not a sonic lover rent it.
Alright don't spam me or flame because this is my very first review here on gamefly.
I found this game like the old game we knew and loved back when sonic was on the sega gen. But the storyline was cheap (that's how must sonic games work now) But i did love another rush game to lose a few hours in but some of the things i hated made me want to punch a baby the annoying Aussie girl i mean Aussie are cool and all but dang there's a point where you stop anyways back on track the other thing i hated was some of the missions wanted kill someone and last but not least the cut scenes let you confused at times but on with the good things. traveling from island to island was fun i faved the wave bike the most out of all them and the levels were very like the sonic which this is what sega needs to keep like not go 3-d like it has i mean there's been some good sonic games like Sa1 DX and Sa2B and SH but other then that no besides the one for the GBA and Ds. Well lets just hope Sonic unleashed is the resurrection for sonic. P.s i guess i should put some whether to buy or rent this game i say buy you can beat it in a day so its not worth buying just rent it. So long happy gaming everyone Peace!
